Some units, like the Peon, are fragile on their own and needs protection.
There are several defensive units dedicated to this purpose, but since they are usually not good for anything
else, your initial funds are best spend on something a little more generic, like the Trooper.
Buy a Trooper and place it next to the Peon to protect it.

Tip: The Trooper is incapable of attacking other units for a period of time - it will appear
semi-transparent throughout this period.
